Learn About Poker Chips & Supplies for Your Game

Take Some Time to Learn Craps

If you are someone who really enjoys casino style card and dice games and are looking for something different than your typical blackjack or poker, then Craps may be something you want to give a try. Craps can be a very fun and exhilarating game, once you understand it. You can gain a better understanding of the game by watching, but the best way is to play. Practice does make perfect. Learning to play Craps on the fly at the casino can be a little intimidating and daunting. I would recommend investing in some home accessories to learn the game. Depending on your budget, there are many options available to you when it comes to Craps supplies.

The first accessory you will need to begin playing Craps at home is some sort of Craps surface. Craps felt layouts are a great inexpensive way to come up with a surface for playing. These layouts feature all of the markings that a casino table would, just in a portable felt surface. These layouts are extremely affordable and portable, you can set these up on just about any flat surface. Of course, if you are looking for something a little more substantial you can get a stand alone table. Everything from a basic steel frame table with folding legs to a casino grade luxury table are available with many customizable options. These types of tables are going to vary in price. It all depends on you budget and your needs in your craps surface.

Next, you are going to want to get some craps dice and a craps stick. Having a craps stick will give you the feel of a casino. There are several length options available when it comes to dice sticks. Generally a 36 inch stick will work, but if you have a larger table you may want to consider something a little longer. The dice are probably the most important accessory when it comes to Craps, without the dice there would be no game. So I would recommend in buying several packs of casino grade dice which are available in blue, purple, green and red. Having enough dice for the game and some extra will eliminate any lag time in searching for lost or missing dice.

Don’t forget to buy all the small accessories that will make your game feel even more authentic. Some of these include the on/off buttons and the buy/lay button. Also, you will want a full poker chip set for betting and payoff. Again, these are just a few smaller accessories, but they will make all the difference when you play. Once you master the basics of Craps at home you will be ready to give it a try at the casino. This will take the pressure off of you since you know the basics. Craps is an extremely fun game to play and its worth the little effort it takes to learn it.
