Learn About Poker Chips & Supplies for Your Game

Alternative to a Poker Table

If you are like me and love playing poker with family and friends I am sure you have considered buying a poker table for your home. There are some problems that some people run into though with those large tables, for one they take up tons of space and two they cost quite a bit of money. Well if you are having a hard time making a decision I suggest getting a table top first, then you might decide you don’t even need a poker table anymore. Table tops are extremely convenient and won’t cost you too much. Unlike a big bulky poker table, table tops can easily be stored away till you are ready to use them again and they will fit on just about any table in your house.

Customize Your Poker Chips

Hot stamping is a great way to take a generic poker chip and turn it into something that is completely unique to you and your poker chip set. This process of customization has become very popular and is extremely affordable and practical. You can add initials, denominations, short words and sometimes you can even have a custom logo made for your poker chips. The foil is super heated and pressed into the chip, giving it a flush feeling as if it is actually part of the chip. These poker chips not only make for a great unique poker chip set, but they can we given as party favors, decorations and gifts. So the next time you are looking to get a new set of poker chips, consider getting them customized to be unique to you.

Having Trouble Shuffling?

I love to play cards but shuffling has always been a problem for me. If you cards aren’t probably shuffled than it can mess up your game. There are many techniques you can use like the Riffle or Stripping. But if you are all thumbs like me these techniques are a little more difficult and time consuming, there is a solution though other than just letting someone else shuffle you can get an automatic shuffler. It makes playing cards so much easier I don’t have to worry about if I shuffled the cards right because it does it for me, you do have to put the cards through several times to get them mixed up. For dealers in casinos automatic shufflers might be a little ridiculous but for poker games at home it can be a big help.

Go with Plastic

If you have yet to upgrade your playing cards, it is definitely time to do you. I would highly recommend investing in 100% plastic playing cards like the one KEM manufacture. Plastic playing cards will last longer, shuffle better and in the end cost you less. Paper cards have a thin plastic coating, so after just a few hours of handling that coating tends to rub off. That is something that will never happen to plastic playing cards. Since they are made from 100 percent plastic they will never lose their original quality. They do not deteriorate over time like paper cards. Once you make the switch to plastic cards you will never want to play with anything else. They are definitely worth the higher price tag in their durability and play.

Why Blackjack is So Popular

When you walk into a casino, after you get past the many rows of slot machines, you may find yourself stumbling into the card tables. The first thing you may notice is the ample number of blackjack tables. Blackjack has become one of the most popular card games in the casino, and there is good reason for it. Blackjack is a game that is extremely easy to learn and pick up quickly. There are a limited number of rules you have to be familiar with. Blackjack, while being easy to learn, also offers a very good chance of winning. This contributes to the popularity. So the next time you visit a casino, don’t let the number of tables or players intimidate you, give it a try, I promise you will not be disappointed.

Table Tops And Felt Layouts

If you are having difficulties playing poker on your kitchen table and you can’t afford those big bulky poker tables, you do have other options don’t fret. You can amp up your poker night with table tops or felt layouts. They aren’t nearly as expensive as a poker table and they are convenient. You can take your table top or felt layout wherever you go, most table tops come with a carrying bag and they fold for easy storage. Felt layouts can also just be folded up since they are just a felt layout.

You can still bring the casino home with you even if you can’t afford a pricey table. Table tops and felt layouts are just as good and I like that you can transport them easily. You can bring the game with you wherever you go.
